Job Profile: Occupational Health and Safety Professional for Multisite Construction Sector
Requirements
- Position Identification
Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety Professional (OSH) - Multisite Construction
Reports to: Construction Management / HS Management
- Mission of the Position
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and company-specific HS requirements at all company headquarters and construction projects. The main objective is to anticipate, recognize, evaluate and control risks that may affect the safety and health of workers, contractors and visitors, guaranteeing compliance with current legal regulations and promoting a culture of self-care and prevention at all levels of the organization.
- Required Profile
a) Academic Training
- Professional in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related careers.
- Postgraduate (Specialization) in Occupational Health and Safety, with a current license.
b) Work Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of general experience as an OSH professional.
- Minimum of three (3) years of specific experience in the construction sector.
c) Technical Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of Colombian OSH legislation (Decree 1072 of 2015, Resolution 0312 of 2019, regulations for work at heights - Resolution 4272 of 2021, among others).
- Knowledge and experience in the implementation of international standards such as ISO 45001.
RUC knowledge
Solid knowledge in the identification of hazards and evaluation of specific risks in the construction sector (radiological, mechanical, electrical, locative, physical, chemical, biological, biomechanical and psychosocial risks). * If you do not meet the knowledge requirement in radiological R., SGS will train you.
- Experience in the investigation of work accidents with recognized methodologies (cause tree, fishbone, etc.).
- Certified training as a Work at Heights Coordinator.
- Use of office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) at an advanced level. Desirable use of SST management software.
d) Competencies and Skills
- Remote Leadership and Supervision: Ability to direct, motivate and control work teams in different geographic locations.
- Assertive Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, from senior management to site personnel.
- Analysis and Problem Solving Capacity: Ability to analyze data, identify trends and propose effective solutions to OSH challenges.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to the constant changes inherent to construction projects.
- Detail Orientation and Compliance: Rigor in following procedures and regulations.
- Proactivity and Initiative: Proactive attitude in identifying opportunities for improvement and promoting a safety culture.
- Additional Requirements
- Current Occupational Health and Safety Professional License.
- SG-SST 50-hour course certificate.
- Availability to travel and move frequently between the different works and company headquarters at a local and/or national level. (Barranquilla and Medellín)
