Role Summary
You ensure the functionality and quality of the crucial interface between wafer and tester, which is essential for smooth wafer testing in our semiconductor production.
You are responsible for the technical implementation of inspection and repair tasks on probe cards and associated assemblies for electrical contacting in the test area. This includes, among other things, the precise handling of the finest contact needles and complex conductor tracks.
You are responsible for independently locating errors and subsequently repairing simple errors in electrical, electronic and mechanical components of the probe cards.
The evaluation of the usage parameters of the probe cards and the development of suggestions for process improvement in order to continuously increase the service life and performance of the probe cards are also part of your area of responsibility.
Working closely with Probecard engineers, process engineers and manufacturers, you will be responsible for troubleshooting problems and further developing contact technologies for wafer testing.
You are responsible for carefully and transparently documenting your work in relevant systems to ensure traceability and quality assurance. This includes repair histories and inspection results as well as optimization suggestions.
In this position you will work in our fully continuous 6:4 shift model. This means that every 6 working days (2 early, 2 late, 2 night shifts) are followed by 4 days off.
Requirements
- Education: successfully completed technical vocational training (e.g. electrician, mechatronics engineer)
- Experience and know-how: Enjoy practical work and enthusiasm for technical challenges, ideally initial experience with precision technology or micromechanics
- Personality: high sense of quality and responsibility, high ability to concentrate, very good fine motor skills and spatial vision, especially when working with a microscope
- Working style: independent, committed and goal-oriented way of working with a high level of commitment. They are characterized by precision and accuracy
