Role Summary

AFRY intends to further develop its Human Factors capability within the UK Nuclear team; which specialises in nuclear safety and reliability. The successful candidate will provide support to a range of clients, as well as leading our junior Human Factors team by taking responsibility for technical leadership and mentoring and business and commercial development.

Working within a close, supportive team this role is ideally suited to a talented and experienced Human Factors engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career.

Requirements

  • 9+ years’ experience within the nuclear and defence sectors;
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject;
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of the application of Human Factors Integration & Human Factors Engineering;
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors as a Chartered member or actively working towards Chartership;
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and overseas when required;
  • Excellent report writing and communication / presentation skills;
  • Willingness and ability to achieve UK security clearance;

  • The role will be based within our Warrington (Birchwood) office. There may be a requirement to travel to client sites in the UK and overseas as necessary.
  • We operate a hybrid working model with 60% of your time spent in either the AFRY office or clients offices.
