Role Summary

micro1 is selecting Police Dispatchers experts to contribute to a customer's project focused on emergency response and real-time communications. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and triage incoming requests with precision under high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions experience.
  • Monitor and manage multiple communication channels simultaneously, including radio, phone, and digital platforms.
  • Apply APCO or NENA protocols to assess, record, and route incidents in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Provide clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal responses during fast-paced, simulated or real-world emergency scenarios.
  • Deliver detailed feedback regarding incident handling, decision-making, and escalation processes for AI model evaluation and development.
  • Assist in scenario development by outlining typical and edge-case dispatch situations and recommended response protocols.
  • Review and annotate transcripts or incident logs to ensure fidelity and clarity for training data sets.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of active experience as a police dispatcher, coordinator, or equivalent in emergency communications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in prioritization, multitasking, and rapid decision-making in high-stress environments.
  • APCO (Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials) and/or NENA (National Emergency Number Association) certification strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with dispatch protocols, CAD systems, and modern emergency communication technologies.
  • Experience documenting and communicating procedures for training or quality assurance purposes.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative approach to project-based work in a remote setting.
