Role Summary

Work on the planning and physical-financial control of geotechnical and industrial engineering projects, ensuring alignment between scope, schedule, budget and resources, through the application of best planning and project management practices. Support planning coordination in generating strategic information for decision making, contributing to increasing predictability, mitigating risks and meeting project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Planning and Project Coordinator or Manager.
  • Develop, maintain and control project schedules using planning tools.
  • Periodically update schedules together with engineering teams, consolidating physical progress information and execution forecasts.
  • Prepare, monitor and analyze physical progress curves, S curves, resource histograms and other performance indicators.
  • Control the physical and financial progress of projects, carrying out comparative analyzes between budgeted and realized values.
  • Monitor productivity, resource allocation and team utilization, supporting operational capacity planning.
  • Support the integration between scope, schedule, costs, supplies and engineering disciplines, ensuring consistency of planning information.
  • Monitor the performance of design companies, contractors and other suppliers involved in the execution of projects.
  • Identify deviations from planning, analyze impacts and propose corrective actions and recovery plans.
  • Prepare risk analyses, support change management and contribute to the implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and monitor performance indicators (KPIs), providing reliable information to support decision making.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards and executive presentations on project performance.
  • Participate in monitoring meetings, presenting the evolution of projects, risks, deviations and proposed actions.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering, planning, supply teams, contractors and other interested parties.
  • Ensure information traceability, document control and recording of lessons learned during the project life cycle.
  • Support the closure of projects, ensuring the consolidation of planning information and the delivery of final documentation according to established procedures.
  • Contribute to the standardization, continuous improvement and development of project planning and control processes.

Requirements

  • Completed Higher Education in Engineering. (A difference will be a postgraduate degree in Project Planning).
  • Knowledge in planning and controlling projects in the mining area.
  • Mastery of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience in planning and controlling industrial works.
