Location:
Melsele, East Flanders, Belgium
Work arrangement:
On-site

Role Summary

You contribute to the entire logistics process that hazardous waste undergoes.

Responsibilities

A selection of your tasks

  • As soon as the trucks arrive, you and your colleagues are responsible for unloading the products. This includes sorting the incoming chemical waste into the appropriate containers. Naturally, you do this in accordance with applicable legislation;
  • You are also responsible for reconditioning and repackaging the goods;
  • Occasionally you will be sent out in the van to make an inventory of the waste present at our customers;
  • After thorough training, you will be included in our intervention team that is called up in the event of emergencies involving dangerous products and chemicals. You usually work closely with the local fire brigade.

Requirements

  • As a school leaver you are certainly welcome, but experience with loading and unloading (hazardous) waste is of course a plus;
  • A forklift driver certificate or ADR certificate makes you the ideal candidate;
  • You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and can work with various pumps;
  • You are a driven and inquisitive person with a sense of responsibility, who strictly complies with safety regulations;
  • You have a driving license B;
  • Independence, work ethic and a sense of humor are your main assets;

You are flexible and do not have a 9-to-5 mentality. Moreover, you don't mind working on weekends occasionally (on average once a month).

Benefits

You will end up in an exciting and varied job with the opportunity for development. As a stable and international company, we guarantee the necessary job security and, in addition to a competitive salary and the classic fringe benefits (meal vouchers and insurance), we also offer you the option to participate in our bicycle leasing plan. This is one of the ways to put our sustainability policy into practice.
