Role Summary
You are responsible for the entire logistical process that hazardous waste undergoes.
Responsibilities
Overview of your tasks
- As soon as the trucks arrive, you and your colleagues are tasked with unloading the products. This includes accepting incoming chemical waste, identifying it and placing it in the right place. Of course, you work in accordance with current legislation;
- You are also responsible for reconditioning and repacking the goods. Use of PPE in accordance with applicable instructions is important when performing this work;
- Occasionally, you will be sent on the road in a delivery van to take inventory of the waste present at our customers' premises and to transport them as well;
- After extensive training, you will join our response team which is deployed in the event of calamities involving dangerous products and chemicals. Typically, you work closely with local firefighters.
Requirements
- Young graduates are welcome, but experience in loading and unloading (hazardous) waste is obviously an asset;
- A forklift driver certificate or ADR certificate makes you the ideal candidate.
- You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and can work with different pumps;
- You are a motivated person eager to learn, with a sense of responsibility and strictly respecting safety rules;
- Independence, hard work and a sense of humor are your main assets;
- You are flexible and don't have a 9-5 mentality. In addition, you are willing to work weekends from time to time (on average once a month);
You place a very important place on safety.
