Role Summary

A supervisor with experience in water and soil monitoring is required to perform the following functions of the position:

  1. Plan, control and ensure the execution of environmental sampling services (water,

soils, sediments, among others). Control the quality of the operation to ensure compliance with the regulatory guidelines for the execution of sampling activities (use of equipment, in situ determinations, compliance with the monitoring program, among others).

  1. Protects the quality of the results, the skills of the personnel on the ground, the equipment and vehicles used in the services.
  2. Ensures the correct functioning of the equipment and vehicles intended for the execution of services.
  3. Manages corrective maintenance and/or repairs of equipment and vehicles intended for the execution of services.
  4. Ensures the technical, safety and integrity performance of the personnel under his/her charge.
  5. Verifies, trains and permanently evaluates the skills of field personnel, generating the induction program and work authorizations, according to applicable regulations.

4.Ensures and trains regarding the correct filling of operational records and quality management system documents associated with sampling activities.

  1. Ensures and executes the annual field supervision program.
  2. Manages and distributes materials, supplies and equipment to comply with the sampling program.
  3. Conducts site visits for new services, developing on-site evaluation of requirements and subsequent designation and/or selection of personnel.
  4. Carry out sampling and measurement activities in the field if necessary.

Requirements

  1. Level of Study: Technical/University (graduate) desirable
  2. Education: Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mining and/or related technical career (with experience in the field).
  3. Experience in services in the area of water and soil monitoring
  4. Residence in Santiago
  5. Class B driver's license, older than 2 years.
