A Biologist, Doctor or Pharmacist (M/F)

Requirements

• Doctor or pharmacist holding a DES in medical biology, or Doctor holding a DES in medical genetics and CNBM equivalence.
• You hold Approval for molecular genetic analyzes or are likely to obtain it in the short term.
• You have strong practical skills in NGS.

Located on the Lyon site, our Genetics department has a large conventional genetics and high-throughput sequencing platform (6 high-throughput sequencers, 8 DNA extraction and sample preparation machines, an ACPA platform, hair sequencers and real-time PCR machines, etc.). It is ISO15189 accredited for the majority of analyses, in particular NGS and ACPA.

The team is made up of 9 biologists, 5 scientific experts, 2 operational managers, 14 technicians and is supported by a dedicated bioinformatics service. They work in close collaboration with the constitutional cytogenetics department (Paris site) and cytogenetics applied to onco-hematology (Lyon site).

Your missions will be as follows

Biological validation of analyses, in particular exomes and panels. Possibility of participating in the biological validation of other parameters (NIPT, ACPA, HLA, cystic fibrosis, fragile X, etc.),

• Participation in staff reporting results to clinicians,
• Development of new analyses, in collaboration with scientific managers and doctoral students,
• Participation in the quality process (validation of EEQs, supervision of method validations, etc.),
• Internal training (for teams) and external training (for prescribers and correspondents),
• Scientific communications (Participation in congresses),

Participation in learned societies.
