Role Summary

Ambrosia Energy is on a mission to make solar + battery systems the fastest-to-deploy and most cost-effective energy source in the US and beyond. As global energy demand surges—driven by the rapid rise of data centers, electric vehicles, and future in-home robotics—the world stands at a critical energy inflection point. To meet this challenge, we need innovative, scalable power sources. Our engineering-led team, with expertise in designing and deploying satellite constellations (Swarm, Starlink Mobile), is now focused on energy on Earth. We're developing affordable, clean energy solutions with new battery storage systems. United by strong team camaraderie, we prioritize speed, rapid iteration, vertical integration, and a test-like-you-fly approach. We're committed to making an impact on the future of energy.

We are designing and developing a distributed battery storage system to pair with solar panels that are quick and easy to install. The system will be simple, robust, reliable, and easy to manufacture at scale. The system will include efficient DC-DC conversion, solar MPPT, power distribution, no moving parts, and efficient cable management to make everything plug and play in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, build, test, verify all of our battery and power conversion hardware.
  • Work with engineering team to help refine speed and quality of production steps.
  • Some field travel to remote desert sites for solar panel and battery installation.
  • Help develop and write install instructions for future field teams to shorten the install times.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams of design, test, and production engineers to refine new power electronics and energy storage hardware.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional hands-on experience in mechanical service work or builds of some type (internship experience is applicable).
  • Hands-on experience with debugging, testing, and validating mechanical systems using common hand and power tools.

PREFERRED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with solar arrays as input power sources.
  • Familiarity with lithium-ion battery handling, safety, and usage.

IN COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL LAW, ALL PERSONS HIRED WILL BE REQUIRED TO VERIFY IDENTITY AND ELIGIBILITY TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES AND TO COMPLETE THE REQUIRED EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION FORM UPON HIRE. THE COMPANY IS UNABLE TO SPONSOR EMPLOYMENT VISAS AT THIS TIME.

Ambrosia Energy

ambrosia.energy

Ambrosia Energy builds vertically integrated solar and battery power plants in West Texas that supply continuous, off-grid renewable electricity. Its plants are designed to deliver reliable 24-hour power at competitive rates with 99.9% uptime and to scale to gigawatts. The company says vertical integration and a proprietary 12x faster solar installation process let customers go from contract to continuous power in a year, at a predictable cost of around $100/MWh.
