Job details
You will drive structural cost reductions and achieve sustainability goals through strategic procurement and management of indirect materials.
Responsibilities
- •Management of two or more indirect material categories in Japan
- •Planning and execution of short-term and long-term strategies to increase overall efficiency
- •Promote structural cost reduction measures through a data-driven approach and collaboration with technology departments
- •Build and maintain relationships with suppliers that emphasize quality, innovation, and sustainability
- •Improvement and optimization of procurement-related tools, systems, and processes
- -Leading procurement activities related to new factory construction
- •Procurement management of Capex (capital investment) and Opex (operating expenses) at existing factories
- •Search and select suppliers
- •Procurement-related contract work
- •Price negotiation and bidding operations
- •Reporting to procurement teams, project teams, management and regional procurement teams
- -Coordination and lead with internal related departments related to procurement operations

- Application requirements
- Business experience using English (both conversation, reading and writing)
Those who have experience in three or more of the following.
- ・Indirect material procurement experience in the manufacturing industry (chemical products)
- ・Practical experience in CAPEX or equipment procurement
- ・Experience negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers
- ・Leader or management experience in procurement department
- ・Work experience in English (business level)
- ・Overseas procurement/global supplier experience
- ・Experience using SAP, etc.
- ・Experience participating in factory construction and equipment introduction projects
The procurement department is a separate organization from the purchasing department, and is handled by about 15 members on a daily basis. The team I belong to this time is made up of three members, and the environment is very open and easy to work in. Our members are achieving results through a combination of working from home and returning home directly.
