Role Summary

Do you want to combine physical insights with advanced AI? We offer you an exciting opportunity for a master's thesis in the area of physically informed machine learning for system identification and performance modeling of MEMS gyroscopes. As part of your work, you will develop machine learning (ML) algorithms for system identification and predicting the performance of MEMS gyroscopes. They analyze MEMS gyroscope data in detail. Additionally, evaluate physically informed ML compared to other architectures. You will also gain a deep physical understanding of MEMS gyroscopes to optimize your models. Finally, you work with real sensor data to validate your results.

Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree in computer science, physics, engineering or comparable, with good academic achievements
  • Experience and knowledge: in data-driven parameter identification; Knowledge of Python, PyTorch, Pandas and probabilistic modeling; Practical experience in handling data and creating data pipelines
  • Personality and way of working: You are characterized by a systematic structuring of your tasks, explore new concepts actively and with curiosity and drive results with a high level of motivation
  • Work routine: Your presence on site is required
  • Languages: business fluent English and good knowledge of German
