Market Area Manager Southwest

Role Summary

AFRY's environmental and sustainability services help customers in the public sector, industry and energy meet increasing demands for resource efficiency, environmental responsibility and climate change. Our expertise spans environmental impact assessments, permit processes, sustainability strategies, climate and life cycle calculations, EHS as well as land and nature issues and circular economy.

In the role of Market Area Manager, you have staff and performance responsibility for approx. 75 people and report to the Director and Head of Transportation Sweden Environment. You manage 4 direct reports and employees distributed across six offices in Skåne, Halland, Blekinge, Jönköping and Västra Götaland.

In the role, you are responsible for leading and developing employees by creating commitment, building trust and establishing a culture where competence, collaboration and continuous development are at the center. You run the business by creating and managing long-term customer relationships and ensure sustainable profitability in a qualified consulting business.

You are part of Transportation Sweden Environment's management team and are motivated by actively contributing to the development of our offer, both operationally and strategically, together with business developers, regional, market area, section and group managers.

Choice of location is flexible within the market area.

Requirements

You are an experienced and confident leader with a background in civil engineering, environmental and sustainability issues, for example as a consultant, client or in other relevant activities. You are used to leading through other managers and have a good understanding of how to develop a business-like, value-driven and knowledge-intensive organization.

You are strategic and business-driven with the ability to see the big picture and drive long-term development. You work close to customers and are skilled at building strong, trusting relationships at management level. At the same time, you are an engaging and inclusive leader who stands for clear, modern leadership where people and collaboration are the focus.

• We see that you have a relevant academic education in the field of environment and/or sustainability.
• You communicate freely in Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.
