Role Summary

Your mission - Supervise the correct management and elimination of waste generated by ships to guarantee compliance with MARPOL regulations and thus protect health and the environment and ensure sustainable maritime trade. Are you joining the challenge?

Responsibilities

Your functions in the team

• You will verify the volumes of MARPOL waste discharged from each vessel, together with a service provider.
• You will coordinate activities with various service providers in the port.
• You will report any incidents found during inspections to the appropriate authorities.
• You will complete inspection reports for each vessel serviced and file them.

Requirements

• What do you have to fulfill?
• You have CFGM or CFGS training in any specialty.
• You provide level of English A2.
• You have a B1 driving license and vehicle (motorcycle/car) to access your job (Port of Barcelona).
• You do not require previous experience, at SGS we will train you to perform your duties successfully.
• IMPORTANT: You have flexible hours for rotating shifts from Monday to Sunday.
