About the position

Do you want to evolve in a high-tech manufacturing environment where each project is unique?

We are looking for a Manufacturing Laborer to support our team of electromechanics in the assembly and integration of high-precision industrial systems.

The incumbent plays an essential role in handling, preparation, organization and production support activities. Depending on operational needs, he also participates in certain simple mechanical assembly tasks.

This position represents an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the creation of innovative equipment intended for specialized industrial applications.

Responsibilities

Handling and production support

  • Participate in the packaging and shipping of equipment and components.
  • Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment.
  • Move equipment around the factory in accordance with the integration layout.
  • Maintain work areas clean, orderly and safe.
  • Use lifting equipment (overhead crane and forklift) in accordance with health and safety standards

Assembly and integration support

  • Assist electromechanics in various assembly and integration tasks.
  • Carry out certain simple mechanical assembly operations according to established procedures.
  • Install hardware and basic mechanical components.
  • Prepare the tools, parts and equipment necessary for the work in progress.
  • Use required hand and power tools safely.
  • Notify your supervisor of any situation that could affect the progress of work or safety.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with different team members to support production activities.
  • Contribute to meeting manufacturing and delivery schedules.
  • Participate in the department's continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other related tasks related to operational needs.

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma (DES) or relevant experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (an asset).
  • Experience in handling or mechanical assembly (an asset).
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and make simple measurements.
  • Forklift and overhead crane driving certification (an asset).
