Role Summary
Purpose of the position
Manufacturing Engineering Leader in charge of the processes of the production cells and areas
related to Master Cylinder, Master Vac and ESP Assembly products.
Coordination and responsible for
The generation of strategies in the area to ensure compliance with the objectives, taking into account local needs/requirements, as well as global requirements.
The development of personnel in the Manufacturing Engineering area through Feedback, Coaching, Gembas, Training, etc.
The management of the resources of the MFE department, as well as the administration of time, workloads, vacations, absenteeism, etc.
Follow-up on customer complaints (QC) or internal complaints (QI), ensuring the correct definition of contentions and action plans in conjunction with the QMM department.
Monitoring and Improving the KPI of waste (IFC) and efficiency (OEE) ensuring the correct administration and presentation of PDCAs, the effectiveness of action plans and compliance with dates.
Administration of the Tear Down reprocessing area.
Control and improvement of Cycle Time in all equipment and processes.
Ensuring the correct root cause analysis by your team with the 8D, Shainin, Problem Solving, etc. methodologies.
The generation of Savings ideas (RPP), as well as the planning/execution of the activities necessary to achieve them.
Monitoring Internal and External Audits, as well as ensuring the issuance of Action Plans and execution of actions.
Manage the department budget, delivery and capitalization of assets (CAPEX, Expenses).
Compliance with the development and updating of documentation (AMEFs, SWI, Data Collection Sheets, Process Flow Charts, Visual Aids) and procedures.
Compliance with activities derived from the interaction with other plants and the center of competence regarding Manufacturing processes.
Ensures effective use of the engineering change control system and directs process improvement activities.
Coordinates the appropriate use of CIP, 5 S's, Poke Yoke in a production environment.
Support in the development, validation, dissemination and implementation of the Standardization of processes based on the PDS according to the CoC (in conjunction with the TEF department).
Optimization and improvement of current manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, cost and productivity goals.
Monitoring plant standards and procedures, including ISO TS 16949 quality systems and ISO 14001 environmental systems.
Support organizational and departmental objectives.
Participation in various meetings.
Know the environmental, safety and occupational health objectives of your area and plant.
Know the environmental aspects associated with your workplace, as well as the operational controls established for them, as well as the dangers and risks in your work activities.
Know the Safety, Occupational Health and Environment policy.
Identify the leader of the Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems.
Know the emergency response plan and carry it out when necessary.
Participate in Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental training that corresponds to your position in the company.
Compliance with health, safety and environmental standards established in the company.
Timely reporting of unsafe acts or conditions.

Position Profile

- Skills, Experience and Knowledge
Coordinate and ensure the execution of the strategies of the Manufacturing Engineering area, guaranteeing compliance with the safety, quality, cost and productivity objectives, aligned with the local and global requirements of the organization.
Solid experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement and technical team leadership.
Management of key indicators such as OEE, IFC (waste), efficiency and cycle time.
Management of customer complaints (QC) and internal complaints (QI) in coordination with quality areas.
Implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement methodologies.
Budget administration, CAPEX and operating expenses.
Attention and monitoring of internal and external audits.
Experience in process standardization and engineering change control.
Interdepartmental coordination and with other plants or competence centers.
Problem analysis and solution methodologies: 8D, Shainin, PDCA, Problem Solving.
Lean Manufacturing: CIP, 5S, Poka-Yoke.
Preparation and updating of technical documentation: FMEA, SWI, Process Flow Charts, Data Collection Sheets, visual aids.
Quality and environmental management systems such as ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001.
Statistical process control and cycle time improvement.
Management of reprocessing and Tear Down areas.
Risk and opportunity management in production processes.
Knowledge of Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental regulations.
Planning and execution of savings projects (RPP).
Knowledge and compliance with the Safety, Occupational Health and Environment policy.
Identification of environmental aspects, dangers, risks and opportunities of the area.
Active participation in training and compliance with the emergency response plan.
