At ON-POINT Connect we are looking for a committed managing consultant/expert in the banking sector who not only successfully implements customer projects, but also actively leads, develops and strategically shapes them.

As a managing consultant/banking expert, you will take on a central role in demanding consulting projects at international financial institutions. You will contribute your technical expertise in banking, lead project teams, manage complex projects and ensure that requirements are turned into viable, future-oriented solutions.

You will not only be in demand in project implementation, but also in expanding our customer relationships. You identify new consulting potential, support project sourcing, participate in pitches and offer processes and actively contribute to the further development of our business areas. In your leadership function, you take responsibility for project quality, team coordination, internal improvements and the economic management of your projects.

Responsibilities

• Management and coordination of demanding consulting projects in the banking environment
• Professional leadership and further development of project teams
• Analysis of internal bank processes, identification of optimization potential and development of tailor-made solutions
• Responsible for project planning, quality assurance and stakeholder management
• Strategic client management as well as building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
• Support with project sourcing, pitches and offer processes
• Controlling the economic performance of projects, including resource planning, budget control and profitability
• Active participation in internal improvements, standards, methods and best practices
• Bringing your banking expertise into the further development of our advisory portfolio

Requirements

• This is what you bring with you
• Completed studies in economics, business informatics, business law or a comparable qualification with a focus on banking and finance
• At least 5 years of experience in consulting, ideally in a banking or financial services environment
• Deep understanding of internal bank processes, business models and regulatory requirements in the financial sector
• Experience in managing (partial) projects and teams
• Ability to analyze complex topics in a structured manner, prepare them in an understandable manner and translate them into implementable solutions
• Entrepreneurial thinking, a sense of responsibility and a clear eye for quality, cost-effectiveness and customer benefit
• Experience in business development, project acquisition and quotation processes is an advantage
• Knowledge of core banking systems such as Avaloq, SAP, Temenos or comparable platforms is desirable
• Very good knowledge of German and English, at least C1 level
• High level of teamwork, flexibility and willingness to travel within the DACH region
