Maintenance Technician at Veolia Environnement SA in Hemlock, MI, United States.
Role Summary
- The Maintenance Technician will perform proper diagnosis of any malfunctioning machinery, general
- repairs, installing new equipment and systems and preventative maintenance program on all assigned
- machinery as directed by supervisor

Responsibilities
- Adhering to all Environmental Health and Safety Policies, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Maintain a tidy work environment by following good housekeeping practices in maintenance and tool storage areas, and promptly cleaning up the work area after each job.
Perform start-up of new plant equipment
- Install new equipment and rearrange existing equipment as required.
- Install Schedule 80 PVC piping, including cutting, fitting, and gluing.
- Respond to plant emergency repairs as needed.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Maintain preventative maintenance records and perform preventative maintenance on plant
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Attention to detail
Preferred
- Electrical panel board experience
- Motor Controls experience
- Positive displacements pump repair experience
- Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years experience of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience
Preferred
At least 5 years of maintenance work experience

Travel for field repair and install if needed
