Role Summary

To support this mission, Syngenta's Hiring Team is seeking an Onsite Maintenance Coordinator in Kaisten, Switzerland.

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the management and further development of the maintenance management system as well as for the coordination of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. In addition, the role actively takes on tasks in the area of reliability engineering - with the aim of systematically increasing plant reliability and implementing programs for mechanical integrity and plant safety at the site.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance coordination
  • Use, maintenance and further development of the maintenance management system in the SAP environment (PM module)
  • Planning, coordination and support of maintenance activities during normal operation and during shutdown phases
  • Creation and further development of maintenance plans in collaboration with technical staff and specialists
  • Monitoring the implementation of the preventive maintenance program to ensure plant availability and compliance with legal and Syngenta internal requirements
  • Coordination and support in the use of third-party craftsmen and placing orders to external specialist companies
  • Management of the technical spare parts warehouse as well as procurement of technical materials and services
  • Creation and maintenance of the equipment and system history
  • Preparation of reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance program
  • Creating, developing and updating work instructions and technical documentation
  • Reliability engineering
  • Support and lead asset mechanical integrity initiatives
  • Support and lead the implementation of global programs, e.g. B. Safety-critical systems, criticality analysis and associated FMECA analyses
  • Further development of the reliability program at the site, including condition monitoring program and measures derived from it, evaluation of results from tests and inspections
  • Support and maintenance of the Bad Actor program: systematic recording and processing of systems and components that are repeatedly prone to failure
  • Lead or participate in projects to increase reliability and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Completed vocational apprenticeship in a technical area (e.g. polymechanic, plant or industrial mechanic, electrical engineering, etc.)
  • Technical training, e.g. b.
  • Technician HF, master or comparable - an advantage
  • Very good SAP knowledge, especially in the PM module
  • Basic knowledge of reliability engineering methods (FMECA, RCM, RCA, condition monitoring) is an advantage
  • Experience in using SAP in maintenance
  • Experience in maintaining process engineering or chemical production plants
  • Experience in planning and coordinating shutdown phases is an advantage
  • Knowledge of equipment reliability and/or mechanical integrity a plus
  • Independent, structured and reliable way of working
  • Analytical thinking and ability to prioritize in a complex environment
  • Ability to work in a team and constructive collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Strong communication skills and confident demeanor towards service providers and project partners
  • Very good knowledge of German (mother tongue or equivalent); Knowledge of English is an advantage
  • Judgment: Ability to make sound technical decisions under one's own responsibility
  • Execution and results-oriented: consistent implementation of measures until completion
