Role Summary

Lead Inspector – SGS

Responsible for the supervision, inspection and verification of operational processes, ensuring compliance with quality, safety standards and procedures established by the client and SGS. Coordination of inspection teams, preparation of technical reports, analysis of results, identification of deviations and application of corrective actions. Supervision of loading, unloading, storage and control of merchandise operations, guaranteeing the integrity of the processes and compliance with national and international standards.

Responsibilities

Main functions

  • Lead and coordinate the team of inspectors in the field.
  • Verify compliance with operational and safety procedures.
  • Prepare and validate reports and inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with clients and operational areas for the execution of services.
  • Identify findings and propose improvement actions.
  • Ensure compliance with SGS quality standards.
  • Supervise port, logistics or industrial operations according to the contracted service.

Requirements

  • Technical or university studies in Engineering, Logistics, Administration or related careers.
  • Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in inspection, operations supervision or quality control.
  • Experience leading work teams in the field.
  • Knowledge of quality, safety, occupational health and environmental standards.
  • Management of the preparation of technical reports and operational reports.
  • Knowledge of port operations, storage, loading and unloading of goods (depending on the area).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Analysis, leadership, effective communication and decision-making skills.
  • Availability to work in shifts and in the field.
  • Driver's license (desirable, depending on the service).
