Role Summary

• Development of complex, highly scalable technical solutions in close collaboration with the Tech Lead and the Product Lead/Product Manager
• Defining architectural decisions and ensuring delivery of reliable state-of-the-art products
• Leading and mentoring a world-class engineering team and collaborating with Product Managers, QAs and designers to release new components and features
• Promoting best practices in agentic engineering with efficient use of modern AI tools
• Work in a dynamic, international and agile environment (SCRUM/Kanban) that is characterized by flat hierarchies and very short decision-making paths

Requirements

Overall, over 10 years of experience, including at least 5-6 years as a backend developer.

• Demonstrated experience in leading a team or mentoring colleagues
• Extensive experience in modern backend web development, particularly with PHP 8+ in scalable, high-load environments
• Deep expertise in frameworks such as Symfony and Laravel while adhering to best practices for scalable applications
• In-depth knowledge of MySQL and Redis
• Deep understanding of engineering principles and software architecture, including event-driven architecture
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm and AWS as well as managing deployment pipelines (e.g. GitLab or similar tools).
• Fluent oral and written English skills.

Nice to have

Experience with Golang and knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) or similar technologies are an advantage.
