Role Summary

We are looking for a detailed and collaborative Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Bogotá, Colombia. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our research and development efforts by maintaining laboratory equipment, conducting experiments, and adhering to safety protocols.

• Assist in the preparation and execution of laboratory experiments and procedures
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Record and analyze experimental data with a high degree of accuracy
• Prepare reports and present findings to the research team
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental policies
• Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and place orders when necessary
• Collaborate with other team members on research projects and initiatives
• Participate in the development and application of new laboratory procedures
• Assist in the training of new laboratory personnel
• Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized laboratory environment

Requirements

• Technician or technologist degree in chemistry, industry or related fields
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a laboratory
• Proficiency in the use of common laboratory equipment and instruments
• Solid knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and analysis
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
