Role Summary
Carry out the chemical, physical and instrumental analyzes required in the different areas or fields of action of the Laboratory, in accordance with the procedures established by the Company.
-Make the timely request to the immediate boss for the work elements and/or consumables necessary to ensure the normal development of the laboratory's work.
- Validate test methods; according to the guidelines of the laboratory's quality assurance program.
- Validate and report the results of laboratory analyzes; taking into account internal QA/QC controls.
- Ensure the proper management of all laboratory equipment in your charge and the verification and/or execution of the operation/efficiency and calibration control tasks thereof, according to the procedures established in the Laboratory.
- Ensure the correct use of protective elements during the execution of the work.
- Ensure timely information to your immediate boss about any non-compliant product in your process, complaint and/or customer claim; actively participating in the identification and implementation of corrective actions and improvement plans, as well as risks associated with the process.
- Ensure active participation in internal and external audits, scheduled and unexpected.
- Participate in the identification of risks associated with the process.
- Participate in updating procedures, instructions, among others; according to the requirements of the area.
- Ensure compliance with the organization's internal rules and procedures.
- Guarantee the timely entry of information into the system and timely delivery of analytical results.
- Inform the immediate supervisor in a timely manner of any damage or anomalies that occur in the operation of the equipment under their charge and the facilities where they carry out their work.
- Implement, maintain and improve the quality management system of the laboratories. Identifying deviations from this or the procedures for carrying out laboratory activities.
- Other duties assigned to you, inherent to your position.
Requirements
- Academic training: Chemical engineer, Chemical technician and/or technologist, Chemist, or similar.
- Experience: Preferably, six (6) months of laboratory analysis and/or quality control.
- Technical knowledge: Own laboratory knowledge; preferably laboratory quality control according to the NTC-ISO/IEC 17025 standard, office tools (Word, Excel, PPT).
