The Junior Project Engineer, under the supervision of more experienced colleagues, takes responsibility for small to medium-sized projects and is responsible for the design and calculation of strength and stability.

Responsibilities

• You take responsibility for a project once the initial sales process has been completed. You are responsible for the design (profile, reinforcement, support, connections to structure,...) and calculation of strength and stability. You transfer this information to the drawing office and guide the draftsmen with any questions or problems.
• The coordination (internal and external) of the project will also be your responsibility. You monitor the feasibility of the agreements and consciously keep an eye on deadlines.
• For customers you are a technical expert who keeps promises and communicates in a timely manner about possible changes. You participate in site meetings to stay informed and inform all parties involved.
• You also maintain sufficient overview internally: you efficiently coordinate the activities of the drawing room and the planning, manufacturing and assembly departments and profile yourself as a technical problem solver.
• You also take care of the administrative handling of a project.
• You work on several projects simultaneously.
• Paying attention to the well-being and safety of our employees in the day-to-day performance of their duties in line with CRH SCB's safety and environmental policy
• Be aware of the environmental aspects over which you have influence and work according to the Plan-Do-Check-Adjust (PDCA) principle to reduce the impact of activities on the environment

• Industrial or civil construction engineer
• Good knowledge of stability and concrete calculations

• Being able to draw up calculation notes (under supervision)
• Being able to work fluently with Excel and Word
