Junior Geologist

Role Summary

• Inventory, pulverize, and briquette samples for X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis
• Preparation of samples for clay determination and other mineralogical tests
• Collaboration in the evaluation and interpretation of diffractograms and analytical results
• Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and X-ray diffraction (XRD) instrumentation according to established protocols
• Record, document and organize data and analysis results in laboratory information systems
• Perform sample quality checks and verify data accuracy before reporting
• Collaborate in the preparation of technical reports and summaries of geological findings
• Comply with all laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 months of practical experience supporting XRD analysis activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
• Availability to work rotating shifts as needed
