Role Summary

We are recruiting a Study Engineer developer Tactical training simulators kml trajectories • joystick • unreal engine to join our Defense & Security BU within the Operational Systems and Interoperability (SOI - Aix) agency which offers its clients numerous solutions for military simulations and generation, processing and testing of Tactical Data Links.

As part of the improvement of our Unreal Engine 5 image generator, the internship consists of designing a trajectories tool allowing:

The technical environment

C++/Blueprint under Unreal Engine 5,

Git,

Windows.

Good basics in 3D mathematics

Good sense of UX.

Rigor, autonomy, capacity for synthesis and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create/edit trajectories (waypoints, speeds, altitudes) with a simple UI
• Import/Export courses in KML format to ensure the editor ↔ file interface.
• Control a demo vehicle in real time with the joystick/pad and record its trajectory (time-stamped positions/orientations).
• Reread these trajectories in Unreal Engine and export a simple exchange format in order to reuse them in a third-party simulation tool.

Requirements

• Bac +5 training, Engineering School or University specialized in IT or video games. Are you looking for a final year internship?
• You enjoy teamwork. You have good analytical and synthesis skills. You are autonomous and rigorous in your work. You have a good ability to take initiative.
