Interim FP&A Director

Role Summary

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ , a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.

Location: Fully Remote (West Coast / Central preferred)

We are seeking an experienced Interim FP&A Director to provide immediate coverage during a leadership transition. This individual will work closely with the CEO and executive team to maintain financial planning & analysis continuity.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the FP&A function
• Partner directly with the CEO and executive leadership on financial insights and decision support
• Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis
• Build and/or refine reporting dashboards and KPIs
• Develop or enhance 13-week cash flow modeling (as needed)
• Collaborate closely with the Controller, including month-end review support
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and SOP development
• Ideal Candidate Profile
• Proven FP&A leadership experience
• Prior experience in aPE-backed environment strongly preferred
• Hands-on, self-starter who can operate independently
• Comfortable in turnaround or restructuring environments
• Strong NetSuite experience (preferred)
• Ability to quickly assess, stabilize, and improve financial processes
