Inspector Hoisting and Lifting Equipment

Role Summary

If you have experience as a Hoisting and Lifting Equipment Inspector, we are looking for you!

As a Hoisting and Lifting Equipment Inspector, you are responsible for inspecting customers' materials. All this in accordance with the prescribed inspection methodology. You ensure inspection certificates are checked and keep this neatly in your documentation. You carry out these inspections, for example, in the port of Rotterdam, but also throughout the Netherlands. You inspect aerial platforms, forklifts, telehandlers and mobile cranes, among other things. You also inspect large and small container cranes, but also spreaders, straddle carriers and automated stacker cranes. You do this independently, but also in a team.

SGS also provides training and further training. Naturally, a company/lease car will be made available.

• As an Inspector of hoisting and lifting equipment you are concerned with:
• Carrying out inspections for customers throughout the Netherlands;
• Elaborating inspection results in a report;
• Checking inspection certificates for accuracy;
• Maintaining contact with the Technical Manager regarding findings;
• Helping develop the department together with your colleagues;

You act representatively and are also alert to new potential customers.

Requirements

• You are our ideal candidate if you have the following:
• Minimum MBO work/thinking level
• Professional work experience with machines, vehicles and/or hoisting and lifting equipment,
• Good oral and written command of the Dutch language;
• You are in possession of a driving license B;

Knowledge of standards, laws and regulations regarding hoisting and lifting equipment is an advantage, but not a requirement.

The Statutory Services department is involved in inspections of, among other things, aerial work platforms, cranes, telehandlers and earth-moving equipment.
