IC Layout Engineer of analog design group

Role Summary

The IC Layout Engineer of the analog design group is responsible for:

Design of analog topological elements/modules taking into account all relevant limitations related to semiconductor technologies, packaging, circuitry and design methods

• Verification of the design results in accordance with the specified limitations
• Placement of foams, extraction of parasitic parameters and optimization of topology
• Ensuring compliance with DRC, LVS rules and supporting the tape-out process
• Participating in topology reviews and contributing
• Collaborate with other topology engineers to define the floorplan according to the top level of the chip
• Liaising with circuit engineers to meet requirements for speed, area, power consumption, EMC, ESD and other parameters
• Preparation and transfer of data necessary for the production of photo templates / semiconductor production

Requirements

• Higher education in electrical engineering or a related field
• Experience in the topology of integrated circuits (or at least in PCB layout), analog topology design, experience with BCD/CMOS technologies
• Understanding the effects of deep submicron technologies (parasitic effects, mutual influences, matching)
• Knowledge of topological methods to ensure matching of elements, power distribution and minimization of parasitic effects
• Proficiency in topology, DRC, LVS and extraction tools
• Knowledge of analog circuitry
• Understanding the issues of RC delays, electromigration and intercapacitance effects
• Ability to identify potentially unreliable circuits and topological structures, effective cooperation with circuit engineers to find optimal solutions
• Knowledge of Cadence tools (or similar)
• Familiarity with Machine Learning and AI concepts
• Programming/scripting experience (SKILL, Perl, TCL, Shell and/or Python)
• English - level B1 and above
