Do you want to help shape the water and climate adaptation projects of the future in one of the largest consulting environments in the Nordics?
At Rambøll, we are facing exciting times. Therefore, we are now looking for an experienced hydraulic engineer who will help develop the solutions for some of the most complex and socially important water projects in the coming years. You will be part of our department for Water and Climate Adaptation with over 25 colleagues in Copenhagen at the same time as you will have access to a professional network which on a global level counts more than 70+ hydraulic engineers. We work with a high level of quality in both model construction and calculations throughout the entire process – from the early planning to the final execution. Along the way, our strong procedures for scrutiny and quality assurance ensure that the work always meets the highest standards. Concretely, we work with a wide range of tasks from initial screenings to complex calculations on large climate adaptation projects.
In your role, you will be responsible for hydraulic calculations and modeling in all project phases - particularly with a focus on the early planning stages. You will become part of an international environment and be part of interdisciplinary project teams on large and complex climate adaptation projects. You will contribute to shaping decisions, optimizing solutions and ensuring that the projects work both technically and practically. More specifically, you will deal with:
- Collaborate with and guide our planners in choosing the right and optimal levels of hydraulic analysis from simple screenings to advanced dynamic calculations
- Set up hydraulic models and carry out hydraulic analyzes at all levels
- Participate in Rambøll's development of methods and tools for the future's data-driven water sector
Collaboration, knowledge sharing and sparring in the professional network and with the department's other project managers and colleagues as well as colleagues widely in Rambøll
Advise municipalities, utilities and private actors, etc. on climate adaptation and sustainable solutions.
- About you
- A relevant education as an engineer or similar. and several years of experience in hydraulic modeling and analysis
- Familiar with MIKE+, GIS tools and Scalgo
- Strong hydraulic understanding and an analytical approach to technical challenges
- A strong digital mindset and preferably experience with automation, AI and machine learning
- Broad understanding of the challenges within climate adaptation and the drainage area
Good communication skills in both Danish and English.
