Role Summary
You know it better than anyone: HR goes further than an employee handbook. As an HR Business Consultant at VIE People, you work with fast-growing companies on real growth - from helping to set up onboarding to guiding a core values session or supporting managers in having good conversations. Sometimes you work on concrete projects, sometimes you are the daily HR source of information within an organization. Always with the same goal: bringing positive change that sticks.
You make it possible
You help companies in transition with their business and growth objectives in various sectors, from SaaS to creative digital agencies. You do this in a way that suits them; not with thick reports, but with smart solutions that work in practice. Together with other HR Business Consultants from VIE, you are responsible for the People & Culture projects at our clients. You are an important link in their growth: you think along, implement and ensure that plans are actually implemented.
You work for several fast-growing clients at the same time, each with their own dynamics, growth phase and issues. With such a customer, you think about larger HR themes such as leadership, culture or feedback and you might as well dive into an HR tool, process or policy yourself to figure something out. You quickly get to know people, processes and structures. You don't have to know everything yourself: you use the knowledge of colleagues, our expertise groups and a library full of tools, templates and best practices.
What consultancy requires of you
Let's be honest: consultancy is not always easy. It is more than just giving advice and requires something from you. You are on the road a lot, working with different clients, sectors and personalities in a limited time. The art? Switch quickly, manage expectations and make an impact in the meantime. If that gives you energy and you want to develop yourself in this, then you are in the right place with us.
This is what your week looks like
On Monday you will work on location at a client in the creative sector: together with another VIE employee you will train team leads in having good conversations. On Tuesday you will have a sparring session with a founder of a tech scale-up about the growth dynamics and the team feeling that is under pressure. Later that week you will guide a team in drawing up their core values. On Friday you will write a customer's employee manual and have a meeting with your development coach from VIE.
Why VIE?
At VIE People we strive to make the world a better place for future generations through our work. We are a bit stubborn and a bit crazy – because we love being everywhere and nowhere and immersing ourselves in different corporate cultures. Flexibility and quick switching are indispensable in our work, because no customer and no day is the same. In addition, there is enough room to all go into the roller disco, chat when we are all in the office, sing karaoke very loudly while enjoying a (possibly non-alcoholic) drink or laugh too much at our annual team weekend.
