Role Summary

  • Job Title: Home Video Recorder
  • Type of Contract: Service Provider (PJ)
  • Location: Remote – professionals based in Latin America and the Caribbean. Eligible countries include:

Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama and Uruguay.

In this role, you will use your experience to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will directly contribute to how these models learn, reason, and perform tasks through real, high-quality data. It is not necessary to have prior experience with Artificial Intelligence — the most important thing is your ability to follow instructions and produce quality data.

Responsibilities

  • Capture accurate movement data using your smartphone's IMU sensors during specified physical activities.
  • Record synchronized videos to ensure data accuracy and integrity of all motion information collected.
  • Follow detailed technical protocols to consistently meet project quality, labeling and standardization standards.
  • Deliver a minimum of 10 hours per week of approved, high-quality videos throughout the project period.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with the team to clarify doubts and share observations about the data collection process.
  • Ensure timely and consistent deliveries in line with project milestones and expectations.
  • Participate in device compatibility verification and an innovative AI-supported interview process during onboarding.

Requirements

  • Have access to a headband for attaching your cell phone to your head, capable of recording both hands, within 48 hours after the start date.
  • Have a compatible smartphone. Supported devices include
  • iPhone 12 or later;
  • Google Pixel 6 or higher;
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 or higher.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to follow standardized protocols.
  • Ability to consistently manage deliverables and meet deadlines in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and remote collaboration.
  • Easy with technology and experience using mobile devices to capture video and sensor data.
  • Physical conditions to perform repetitive movement tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Access to a compatible smartphone capable of high-fidelity data collection.
  • Note: Applications sent using a Gmail email address will be considered a plus, as they facilitate integration with project tools.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Training or experience in robotics, kinesiology, sensor data collection or related technical areas.
  • Experience with human movement analysis, activity segmentation, or labeling datasets for machine learning.
  • Familiarity with organizing and structuring large data sets for AI and robotics applications.

Compensation Structure

  • Compensation is based on production. Professionals are paid for each video recorded that meets project specifications. The time required to complete activities may vary depending on each participant's experience and workflow.
  • There are minimum delivery requirements: videos must be of the length specified by the project, and each professional must send between 10 and 15 hours of video per week.

Start of Activities and Availability

  • We typically complete the selection process within 48 hours, so we look for available professionals to get started quickly. If selected, we hope you will begin your first task as soon as you progress through the application process.
  • The expectation is that activities will begin approximately 24 hours after the completion of onboarding.
  • Equipment Requirements

  • Participants will record their workflow directly from their mobile device as they perform activities.

Head Strap

  • The tasks require the use of a camera positioned on the head using a head strap.
  • Participants will record first-person videos while performing physical activities.
  • Specifications of the required range and any additional equipment will be shared during the onboarding process.
