Heavy vehicle driver

Role Summary

An important company in the environmental services sector is looking to add a Heavy Vehicle Driver to its operations team in Pasto. Your main objective will be to guarantee comprehensive waste collection in a timely manner, leading your crew on the assigned route and ensuring strict compliance with road safety regulations and vehicle care.

What will be your main challenges?

Safe Operation and Driving: Carry out solid waste collection routes according to the assigned microrouting, evacuation of critical points and compliance with delivery times.

Crew Leadership: Direct the operators in charge in a respectful and responsible manner, ensuring that they carry out their activities with the highest quality and excellent treatment of the user.

Preoperative Inspection: Complete a daily check of the mechanical condition of the vehicle before going out for operation, reporting any anomaly in a timely manner.

Basic Care and Maintenance: Perform brake tension once a week, refuel at the end of the shift and carry out daily washing of the cabin along with periodic greasing of the truck rails.

Road Safety: Strictly respect the speed limits established by the company (6 to 10 km/h in collection, 10 km/h within the CIGE Antanas, 40 km/h in urban areas and 60 km/h on national roads). Mandatory use of Personal Protection Elements (PPE).

Requirements

• Education: Preferably a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years driving vehicles with Diesel engines and transporting heavy loads. Essential knowledge in basic mechanics.
• Mandatory requirements: Current Category C2 driving license and up-to-date RUNT certificate (without pending summonses that affect the hiring).
