Head of Financial Accounting (f/m/d)

Role Summary

For an established medium-sized company in the manufacturing sector in the Eisenach area, we are looking for a person who is professionally at home in accounting and has the desire to take on responsibility.

Maybe you know this: the numbers are correct, the bookings have been made, and yet you still need someone to keep an eye on the big picture. Someone who recognizes connections, asks questions, makes decisions and sometimes says: "We can solve this better."

It is precisely this role that needs to be filled.

You take responsibility for financial accounting, lead a small team and at the same time remain technically close to day-to-day business. We are not looking for a pure manager, but rather someone who likes to create things and lend a hand when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Monthly and annual financial statements as well as accounting according to HGB
• Responsible for general ledger and ongoing financial accounting
• Coordination with the subsidiary books
• Account reconciliations and year-end closing postings
• Determination and accounting of provisions and accruals
• Posting of asset additions and asset disposals
• Monitoring and collaboration in payroll accounting
• Cooperation with tax advice, auditing, tax offices and social security institutions
• Professional and disciplinary leadership of two team members
• Further development of commercial procedures and processes
• Creation of commercial evaluations
• close cooperation with management

Requirements

• In the future, you will lead a team of three and at the same time have the opportunity to actively develop structures and processes.
• You stay close to the numbers. You know the general ledger, know what is important in the annual financial statements, can read a balance sheet confidently and understand the commercial context of a manufacturing company.
• We are looking for a hands-on manager who formulates clear expectations, remains accessible to the team and takes responsibility himself.
• This also includes the further development of the systems used. An affinity for DATEV and ERP systems is therefore expressly welcome. The company works with proALPHA.

This is what you bring with you

• a commercial training
• -ideally further training to become an accountant (IHK), tax specialist or a comparable qualification
• -Several years of experience in financial and accounting accounting
• -In-depth knowledge of accounting and annual financial statements according to HGB
• -Experience with general ledger and year-end closing entries
• -ideally knowledge of payroll accounting
• -a structured and reliable way of working
• -Independence and willingness to make decisions
• -Want to take responsibility and further develop processes

-Experience in a medium-sized manufacturing company fits this position particularly well.
