As a Project Manager, you will be involved in:

Role Summary

As a Project Manager, you will be involved in

Leading individual tasks throughout the design, procurement and construction process including furniture install and coordination with client I.T.

Working with the client team to identify initial budgets and scheduling at project feasibility.

Setting up and lead meetings, transcribe meeting minutes and drive action items to closure.

Ensuring project compliance with client’s document controls and file specifications.

Collaborating and coordinating client stakeholders, consultants, direct client vendors and contractors.

Providing regular reporting.

Aiming to maintain budget and schedule and identify potential solutions for issues that look to jeopardize same.

Running procurement, recommendation and appointment of consultants and contractors, and establishing quotations and order placement with client direct vendors such as AV/IT, FF&E and security.

Eliciting and reviewing results from relevant appointed parties.

Coordinating Contracts and Master Service Agreements through the project lifecycle.

Change order management.

Attending weekly or bi weekly site visits when in construction.

Administrating project observation reports.

Processing payments to consultants, contractors and direct vendors in liaison with consultant team.

Punch-list management

Participation in commissioning

Administering and coordinating project closeout documentation including lessons learned workshops.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for

  • Lead the various stages of design, procurement and construction, including furniture installation and coordination with client IT teams.
  • Collaborate with the client team to establish preliminary budgets and timelines during the feasibility study phase.
  • Organize and lead project meetings, write reports and monitor actions until their closure.
  • Ensure project compliance with client requirements for document management and file control.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with client stakeholders, consultants, client direct suppliers and contractors.
  • Produce regular progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with the budget and schedule, while identifying and implementing solutions to mitigate risks that could compromise them.
  • Manage procurement processes, recommend and engage consultants and contractors, as well as coordinate quotes and orders from the client's direct suppliers (audiovisual, IT, furniture and equipment, security, etc.).
  • Collect, review and validate the deliverables produced by the mandated stakeholders.
  • Coordinate contracts and master service agreements throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage change requests and contractual amendments.
  • Conduct weekly or bi-monthly site visits during the construction phase.
  • Prepare and administer site inspection and observation reports.
  • Process payments to consultants, contractors and direct suppliers in collaboration with the consultant team.
  • Manage deficiency lists (punch lists) and ensure their resolution.
  • Participate in commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate project closure, including final documentation and feedback workshops (“lessons learned”).

Requirements

  • Are you a Project Manager with 4 to 7 years of experience after obtaining your diploma and ready to take on a new challenge? Or are you currently in a similar position in a comparable environment?

  • You are an expert Project Manager with a minimum of 4-7 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.

  • Qualifications recherchées
  • Baccalauréat dans un domaine pertinent.
  • Minimum de 4 à 7 ans d’expérience en gestion de projets d’aménagement intérieur commercial, de rénovation ou de projets de bureaux corporatifs.
  • Excellentes compétences en gestion des parties prenantes, communication et coordination.
  • Solide expérience en gestion des budgets, échéanciers, contrats et fournisseurs.
  • Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités dans un environnement dynamique.
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais) considéré comme un atout.
  • A minimum of 4-7 years of experience as a Project Manager in assisting or supervising construction
  • Commercial o ffice fit out experience as an Owners Representative PM is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field
  • PMP certification is highly desirable
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Project or P6.
  • Good with numbers, technology, and web-based data platforms.
