Freight Sourcing Analyst (Paraguay - Ciudad del Este)

Purpose

The Freight Sourcing Analyst will carry out activities that guarantee efficient transportation of materials and products from origin to destination. We are looking for an entry-level professional to help identify and select the most appropriate and profitable transportation, under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Control and track the transportation of critical materials, managing nominations in corporate systems, including analyzing the conditions of the nominated fleet, identifying deviations or non-compliance, following up on claims with shipowners and coordinating the operational information necessary to guarantee the safety of operations and cargo.
• Apply a basic understanding of barge transportation and logistics practices and procedures in the preparation and communication of the monthly shipping program to shipowners, monitoring the warehouse availability necessary for its correct execution.
• Manage together with the origin Logistics teams to guarantee the availability of cargo required for the monthly program, through stock analysis, estimated production and arrival dates, evaluation of coverage of operational needs.
• Monitor and track up and down transits, ensuring supply and compliance with requirements both at origin and destination.
• Analyze current transportation operations practices to resolve cost and process improvement opportunities.
• Handle basic issues and issues under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other assigned duties.

Ratings

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management Engineer or similar
• Minimum of 2 years related experience in Logistics (Maritime, land or river)
• Management of the office package (intermediate Excel).

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of artificial intelligence applications
• Use or knowledge of Power BI
• Technical knowledge in relation to river transport.
