Role Summary
Eurofins TMFI carries out various types of trace investigations. Traces of biological origin are common, such as DNA, but drug and fingerprint traces are also common. These traces are often secured in cases such as burglaries and serious crimes, such as crimes against life and sexual offenses.
To carry out and further develop trace research, Eurofins TMFI is looking for a trace researcher who draws up research plans for (complex) trace research and implements them in the laboratory. The trace investigator ensures correct recording of the investigation and takes care of its administration. In this position you are actively involved in the further development of the various disciplines of trace research, for example the validation and implementation of new methods in the laboratory and the preparation and improvement of procedures and work instructions within the ISO-17025 accredited quality management system.
Requirements
- You have at least HBO work and thinking level
- You have criminal insight, are creative and can think out-of-the-box
- Relevant work experience in the field of forensic laboratory research and/or fingerprint research is an advantage
- You have a strong quality consciousness, put the customer first and have environmental sensitivity
- You show initiative and adopt a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement in the areas of science, quality and efficiency
- You have a critical, constructive and flexible attitude
- You get energy from achieving daily successes under time pressure
- You can work well independently but are also a team player
- You work accurately and are results-oriented, with a strong work ethic
- You don't have a 9 to 5 mentality. Meeting deadlines and completing your work is no problem for you
- You speak fluent Dutch
