Role Summary

• Currently we are looking for a candidate for the position of:
• Fixed Assets Expert
• Location: Lodz - hybrid

Responsibilities

• Evaluate investment applications and purchase requisitions to determine eligibility or obligation for capitalization in line with IFRS and HGB.
• Maintain fixed asset records in SAP, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, capitalization, and depreciation runs.
• Coordinate with cost center owners to confirm operational readiness of investment projects and Assets under Construction (AuC) and ensure correct recording in SAP.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities within fixed assets accounting, including preparation of the statement of changes in fixed assets in cooperation with local accounting teams.
• Support asset inventory activities as required.
• Act as a subject matter expert, responding to business requests and advising stakeholders on fixed assets-related accounting topics.
• Participate in finance transformation and process improvement projects

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in the Finance & Accounting area, including at least 2 years in Fixed Assets
• Solid understanding of Fixed Assets accounting principles
• Good command of English (minimum B2 level)
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Higher education in Accounting / Finance; additional accounting courses will be an advantage
• Very good communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Strong teamwork mindset
• Openness to work in a hybrid model (50% office / 50% remote)
