Responsibilities
- Carrying out and monitoring test drives with autonomous vehicles and ADAS systems on test sites and in real road traffic - in compliance with all safety protocols
- Active driving of the test vehicles as well as continuous observation of traffic events and vehicle behavior in order to identify critical situations at an early stage
- Confidently intervene and take control of the vehicle when the situation requires it
- Use of test equipment (data logger, OBD-II scanner, test software) to evaluate vehicle performance
- Analyzing system performance and test results, identifying patterns and anomalies, and deriving insights for further development
- Presentation of innovative vehicle functions and autonomous technologies at customer demonstrations - understandable, practical and convincing
- Careful vehicle checks before and after each test drive to ensure operational readiness
- Documentation of test drives, abnormalities and results as a basis for the continuous optimization of our systems
- Observation of current safety regulations and application of best practices in test execution
Requirements
- Completed studies in engineering, computer science or a comparable field - alternatively comparable practical experience
- Valid Class B driving license and several years of safe, responsible driving experience
- Experience in vehicle testing, ideally with autonomous vehicles or driver assistance systems (ADAS)
- Understanding of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262, HARA, FMEA)
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics (drive, braking, steering) and the components of autonomous systems (LiDAR, RADAR, cameras, GPS, IMU)
- Strong analytical skills - data collection, interpretation and reporting
High level of attentiveness and the ability to concentrate, even over long periods of time, as well as the ability to react quickly and confidently in safety-critical situations
- Structured, detail-oriented way of working as well as good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to take regular business trips and overnight stays away from home during the week
- Flexibility in terms of working hours and willingness to work shifts
Fluent German language skills (C1) and good written and spoken English skills (at least B1).
