Data Intelligence brings together Sopra Steria's cutting-edge expertise in data, analysis and artificial intelligence. The department covers the entire value chain from data platforms and integration, to insight, machine learning and operationalisation. We help customers make better decisions, create new services and build robust data infrastructure.

As an AI engineer, you build solutions with language models, agents and generative AI as a natural part of the workflow in demanding customer projects.

What do you want to work on?

• You develop and integrate AI solutions for customers in energy, the public sector, finance and health:
• LLM, RAG and agents in real workflows and products
• API integration towards cloud-based AI services (e.g. Azure OpenAI)
• Quality, security, cost and governance in AI deliveries
• Collaboration with data scientists, developers and the business side

Requirements

You are pragmatic, technically solid and motivated by the fact that AI actually creates value, not just impresses in a demo. You like to deliver solutions that maintain production, work closely with the customer and team, and dare to speak up when quality or safety is not good enough.

We are looking for you too

The role suits you who already deliver AI solutions in production in customer projects, and can take responsibility for quality from day one.

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a developer or engineer with delivery in production
• Experience in building and integrating API-based solutions
• Practical experience with LLM/KI services (e.g. Azure OpenAI or equivalent)
• Understanding of quality, security and cost in AI solutions
• Experience from consultancy or equivalent customer dialogue and project deliveries
• Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with customers and teams
• Good knowledge of Norwegian (minimum B2), good knowledge of English and higher relevant education
• There is an advantage though
• You have built RAG, agents or solutions with prompt engineering at customers
• You are strong in Python, TypeScript or equivalent for integration
• You have experience with governance and responsible use of AI
