Role Summary
We are looking for an embedded software test / verification & validation engineer, attentive to detail, to contribute to testing activities within an HSIT team in an Automotive context.
You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and quality of embedded software components, working closely with development teams and tooled practices (CI/CD, integration, monitoring).
Responsibilities
- Define and execute test plans and cases.
- Carry out test campaigns and analyze the results.
- Write test reports and associated documentation.
- Ensure design and testing traceability.
- Track anomalies in JIRA.
- Identify the root causes of defects detected during testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field).
- Must be in or near Ottawa
- 3+ years in V&V / embedded software testing.
- C++, Python, ideally Pytest.
- QA and CI/CD tools (GitHub/GitLab, runners, checkers).
- Knowledge of SDLC.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 (or similar standardized environment) and RTOS.
- Experience in a Linux environment.
- Build and load images on embedded targets.
