Role Summary

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

• Preparation, weighing and analysis of samples; preparation of culture media; washing and preparing material for laboratory use, as applicable.
• Initial execution of tests, preparation and extraction of samples (when applicable).
• Maintain order, cleanliness and cleanliness of equipment in the workplace.
• Responsible for: Operation, Verification, Review of validity status of calibration/maintenance of equipment and instruments in laboratory use.
• Use of Autoclaves, according to authorization.
• Safeguards and ensures the maintenance of files, records, analytical and operational instructions in good condition and available.
• Protects the integrity of the assigned test items, ensuring traceability and registration of the activity in the documents provided for this purpose, in a clear, orderly and comprehensive manner.
• Ensures the correct use of documents and/or records in their current versions.
• Ensures that modifications to technical records are traceable to previous versions or original observations.
• Depending on the location to which you are assigned, enter the samples according to the documentation that accompanies them (analysis requests, chains of custody, letters from clients, others) and their corresponding labeling.
• Depending on the location to which you are assigned, verify the reception conditions according to the nature of the samples and the stipulated requirements.
• Record the data and information necessary for the evaluation of results.
• Know the basic scientific principles of the methodologies used. - Maintain files, records, analytical and operational instructions in good condition and available (when applicable).
• Recognize possible sources of error in assigned tasks and communicate them in a timely manner to your superior.
• Actively participate in the assigned tasks, which are related to the equipment program.
• Demonstrate initiative, capacity and good judgment in the execution of your work. - Others that are assigned inherent to their position.
• Depending on the location to which you are assigned, others such as sample entry and administrative tasks associated with the laboratory.

Requirements

• Complete secondary education.
• One year of laboratory performance experience.
• Certification as MINSAL Autoclave Operator (not exclusive)
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques (Desirable).
• Integrity.
• Order and quality.
• Teamwork.
