Role Summary

Carry out hydrobiological sampling at the national level and support in the preparation of hydrobiological reports that are assigned, in accordance with established standards and procedures, complying with the Laboratory Quality Assurance Program.

Implement, maintain and improve the company's management system; identifying deviations from the system or procedures for carrying out activities, initiation of actions to prevent or minimize such deviations.

• Guarantee the completion of the physical process of taking and preparing hydrobiological samples.
• Guarantee the accurate, fast and timely delivery of the necessary information to the immediate boss.
• Guarantee the timely request of the consumables necessary for the execution of your operation.
• Guarantee compliance with the operational and quality technical standards and procedures applicable to your area.
• Guarantee the updating of procedures, instructions and formats according to updates of accredited methods.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of all equipment under your responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with the safety standards established by SGS Colombia and the client in the work area.
• Ensure the correct use of protective elements during the execution of the work.
• Ensure timely information to your immediate boss about any non-compliant product in your process or customer complaint and/or claim.
• Ensure active participation in both internal and external audits, scheduled by the sector.
• Other duties assigned to you, inherent to your position.
• Execution of field activities required for the scope of the studies.
• Management of mist nets, herpetological hooks, Sherman and Tomahawk traps to capture fauna species.
• Carry out the preparation of samples assigned to you, in accordance with established standards and procedures and comply with the Laboratory Quality Assurance Program.
• Ensure participation in both internal and external Audits, programs by the sector, as appropriate.
• Other duties assigned to you, inherent to your position.

Requirements

• Academic training: Professional in Biology
• Experience: 6 months in the Hydrobiology sampling area.
• Technical knowledge: Sampling in the parameters Phytoplankton, Macrophytes, Benthic Macroinvertebrates, Fish, Periphyton and Zooplankton.

Benefits

• Hours: Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm, subject to monitoring schedules, working Sundays
• Type of contract: Work or Labor with the possibility of entering indefinitely after 6 months
• Salary: $2,472,351 not including overtime and Sunday surcharges
