Role Summary

• Posting of all business transactions in the general ledger in accordance with HGB and GoB
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Carrying out account reconciliations as well as balance sheet and P&L analyses
• Evaluation of business transactions taking cost centers and cost objects into account
• Ensuring data quality, financial integrity and monitoring transactions
• Support with internal and external audits and creation of statistical reports
• Development and implementation of financial guidelines and optimization of processes
• Close collaboration with interfaces, collaboration on projects and training of new employees

Requirements

• Completed commercial training with a focus on accounting/finance
• At least 4 years of professional experience in financial accounting
• Sound knowledge of commercial law (HGB)
• Confident handling of common accounting systems (e.g. SAP, DATEV)
• Very good Excel skills and experienced use of MS Office
• Strong analytical skills and affinity for numbers
• Experience in financial statement preparation and reporting
• Good knowledge of English (at least B2) both spoken and written
