Role Summary

Position description

Are you an experienced and business-oriented manager who can set direction, develop the business and create strong relationships? Then you have the opportunity to be at the head of Rambøll Greenland.

As managing director, you will have overall responsibility for Rambøll Greenland and must be at the forefront of the continued development of the business and the organisation. You will have a central role in strengthening Rambøll's position in Greenland and creating the basis for continued growth, high professionalism and a developing organization. At the same time, you will become part of Rambøll's global organization within construction and thereby gain close cooperation with colleagues in Denmark and across Rambøll's other business areas.

As managing director, you will have overall responsibility for finances and strategy for Rambøll Greenland. The company is interdisciplinary and consists of approx. 20 colleagues, with a good mix of experienced and less experienced engineers, building designers and project managers. You will be at the head of an interdisciplinary organisation, where professionalism and collaboration are an important part of everyday life.

The tasks range widely from construction and infrastructure to energy, environment and socio-economic analyzes and are solved in close cooperation with customers and business partners.

In addition, we imagine that you

Has an engineering or other relevant technical background.

Has several years of experience from a leading role and preferably experience from the building and construction sector, the consultancy industry or related areas.

Motivated by creating results through people and can balance strategic direction with current management.

Is outgoing, committed and solution-oriented and thrives in an everyday life with responsibility, variety and close customer contact.

Want to share your knowledge, develop others and actively contribute to a strong professional community.

Responsibilities

Rambøll Greenland works with, among other things

• Housing
• Public construction, including hospitals, schools and other public institutions
• Industry and production facilities
• Water and energy supply
• Infrastructure, including ports, airports, roads and building development
• Raw material projects
• Environment, climate and planning
• Socio-economic analyzes and studies
• Defense-related and dual use infrastructure
• Rambøll Grønland A/S has offices in Nuuk, Sisimiut and Ilulissat.
• Your place of work will basically be at the head office in Nuuk, and you will regularly visit our offices in Sisimiut and Ilulissat.
• The role is both strategic and operational. You become part of the day-to-day business and have an active role in the contact with customers and business partners. At the same time, you are a present leader who involves the employees and creates a good framework for cooperation and development.

Your areas of responsibility will include, among other things, the following:

• Set the strategic direction for Rambøll Grønland A/S based on Rambøll's overall strategy and translate the business plan into concrete goals and actions.
• Have overall responsibility for finances in the company.
• Lead, develop and motivate an interdisciplinary team as well as ensure well-being, cooperation and high professional quality in the task solution.
• Ensure effective resource planning across projects, competencies and locations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners and key stakeholders in Greenland.
• Drive outreach sales in close interaction with the organization.
• Ensure quality in tender work, contract management and commercial decisions.
• Bringing Rambøll's broad competences into play on relevant projects.
• Ensure good onboarding of new employees and contribute to continuous development of the organization.
• Lead Rambøll's market board for Greenland and ensure close cooperation across business areas so that relevant skills and solutions are brought into play.
• You will as Adm. Director have a close collaboration with the board of Rambøll A/S

About you

We imagine that you have solid management experience and a relevant technical background from the building and construction sector, the consultancy industry or another technically oriented company. You have a strong understanding of business and thrive in a role where you both have overall responsibility and are an active part of everyday life.

You have a good network and understand the value of relationships built up over many years. You move naturally across businesses, organizations and public actors and manage to create trust and good collaborations.

It is important that you have experience of working in Greenland and have a good knowledge of Greenlandic society, culture and business life. You understand the importance of local relationships and can get along naturally with customers, business partners and other players. If you speak Greenlandic, we see it as an advantage, but it is not a requirement.
