Role Summary
Carry out technical responsibility for the NYCE Colombia S.A.S. laboratory, ensuring that services are provided impartially and objectively.
Coordinate and supervise testing and trial services based on strict compliance with applicable regulations.
Support the development of content for courses on topics related to your management field and provide the corresponding training
Coordination of preparation of quotes, billing and collections.
Participate in the establishment of agreements, alliances and/or agreements when necessary.
Stay updated and ensure adequate communication of regulatory documents and criteria at the national and international level
Participate in all processes required by clients, providing support with the commercial department.
Control and monitor services, action plans and commitments to clients or improvement activities
Select and, where appropriate, qualify and authorize the activities of the personnel under your charge.
Verify and ensure, in coordination with the involved areas of the organization, compliance with the requirements to achieve and maintain accreditations before accreditation entities.
Lead the establishment of agreements, alliances and agreements within their scope of control.
Supervise the activities of information analysis, decision making and issuance of laboratory reports
Where applicable, supervise and authorize the issuance of test reports carried out.
Support in the promotion of the laboratory's services by attending and providing service to current and potential clients, as well as participating in events and exhibitions.
Provide training to subordinate personnel and other areas in relation to laboratory processes
Coordinate the proper preparation and signing of services contracts with clients.
Identify and analyze business opportunities to expand the service portfolio of the areas under your responsibility.
Ensure that operational processes are carried out in accordance with the provisions of laws, procedures and any other applicable document.
Follow up on the laboratory to comply with the policies and procedures applicable to the service
Support internal quality audits and establish the relevant measures to agree on and monitor action plans together with the Quality area, to address improvement, preventive, corrective and correction actions.
Authority for the identification of deviations from the management system, or from the procedures for carrying out laboratory activities
Inform the general management of the laboratory about the performance of the processes and any improvement needs for the laboratory
Ensure that the physical infrastructure of the laboratory is maintained, where applicable, with appropriate calibrations and maintenance.
Plan and ensure the necessary training for laboratory personnel with the objective of ensuring their technical competence.
Make sure you have the NYCE website updated regarding laboratory services
Take care of the institutional image of NYCE before employees, clients and institutions.
Participate in the company's strategic process mainly in establishing the objectives of your area.
Agree with your immediate boss on the tactical objectives for your department, communicate them properly and establish the annual objectives of the personnel under your charge.
Collaborate in the budgeting and administration of expenses in the operating concepts of the area.
Implement, track and report performance indicators within your scope of control, identifying improvement opportunities.
Adapt and adapt your work team to the changes and adjustments derived from the reality of the company and its environment.
Manage all resources under your responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of services in your area.
Ensure the performance evaluation process of the personnel in your area under your charge is carried out following the guidelines of the Human Capital area.
Remain open and proactive for innovation and for the acquisition of best practices.
Identify non-conforming test work.
Investigate the causes of non-conforming work and complaints, managing the correction or corrective actions necessary to eliminate the problem presented.
Ensure communication regarding the effectiveness of the laboratory management system and the importance of meeting customer and other requirements
Ensure the integrity of the laboratory management system is maintained when changes to it are planned and implemented.

- Authority for the identification of deviations from the management system or procedures for carrying out the activities of the LENC testing laboratory
- Authority to initiate actions in order to prevent or minimize deviations
Authority to implement, maintain and improve the LENC laboratory management system.
Requirements
- Professional in electrical, electronic or related engineering, specialization in projects, quality management or materials engineering desirable.
- Between 2 to 5 years of verifiable experience, leading laboratories and teams in the electrical sector, Certification in ISO/IEC 17025, Certification in RETIE and RETILAP.
