Role Summary

Objective

Coordinate logistics related to both major repair projects and small engineering production lines, minimizing costs and delivery times in the different OI plants.

Carry out tracking for the engineering team of each shipment (project) requested.

Be the support member for the Engineering team for logistics operations (delivery dates, costs, etc.).

Coordinate minor projects between contrygroups.

Position Functions

Knowledge of dates for major furnace repairs, draining, furnace demolition for future furnace startups and production line projects.

Tracking release dates of equipment and materials with materials suppliers and engineering users.

Make a provision of arrival dates for project materials with Engineering depending on the established release dates for the established project starts.

Review of correct orders for correct internal registration.

Lead shipments through meetings and emails with engineering users, forwarders and Customs Agents for better logistics from start to finish.

Monitor shipping costs with logistics providers to achieve savings in the operation.

Work together with customs agents for the prompt release of materials and delivery to the different OI plants.

Supervise the correct registration of materials in the different warehouses of the OI plants.

Internally lead with the payments area the correct registration of invoices from customs agents and forwarders.

Requirements

Academic Training

Bachelor's degree in International Business, International Commerce and related fields.

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience in imports and exports (manufacturing sector).
  • Requirements and knowledge required
  • Advanced conversational English.
  • Availability to travel nationally.
  • Have a valid Visa and Passport.
  • Knowledge of BASC and CT-PAT.
  • Knowledge of Annex 24.
