Role Summary
AGV Technician 16/7 Shift
As an AGV Technician you work on the innovative vehicles that keep the logistics process at Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) running. These Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) transport containers every day through one of the most automated container terminals in Europe.
You work from a modern workshop on the Maasvlakte and deal with vehicle technology, electrical engineering and mechatronics on a daily basis. Thanks to your technical knowledge, these vehicles remain safe, reliable and available for the operation.
This is offset by an attractive salary with a 30% shift allowance in a 16/7 shift schedule.
What are you going to do?
- Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on AGVs;
- Inspecting and testing vehicles according to established guidelines;
- Locating and solving malfunctions, both mechanical and electrical;
- Replacing parts and carrying out minor modifications;
- Registering work carried out in the maintenance system;
Thinking about technical improvements and optimizations of the AGV fleet.
What are you taking with you?
- MBO-3 or MBO-4 Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering or similar;
- Experience with maintenance of vehicles, machines or technical installations;
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and troubleshooting;
- Driving license B;
Willingness to work a 16/7 shift schedule.
Experience with AGVs is not necessary. Do you have experience as a car mechanic, truck mechanic, forklift mechanic, service engineer, breakdown engineer or maintenance engineer? Then we would be happy to teach you the specific technique.
