Role Summary

  • Carry out the checking and validation of analytical results / critical analyses;
  • Perform proficiency tests;
  • Communicate any problems in the routine or need for materials to the Senior Analyst or Area Coordinator;

Carry out general laboratory tasks in accordance with the division of tasks defined by the Coordinator, which may include: preparation of materials (solutions, buffers, culture media, standard solutions), checking temperatures, validity of solutions and reagents in use;

Assist in sending materials for calibration;

Organize the laboratory for the preparation of materials (solutions, buffers, culture media, standard solutions), checking temperatures, validity of solutions and reagents in use;

Keep freezers, refrigerators, cabinets, drawers, shelves and countertops organized, keeping each input stored at the temperature recommended by the manufacturer (ambient, refrigerated or frozen);

Inspect inputs monthly regarding their expiration date; inform the Sector Coordinator in advance about the expiration date and carry out disposal when necessary;

Clean and disinfect the work area (bench) before and after the routine, following the specific procedure;

Constantly guide the team to clean and organize areas with a focus on safety in the laboratory;

Include the evaluated results, repetitions and additional analyzes in the system (according to the respective line of business), as well as record pertinent information;

  • Request the purchase of materials for the laboratory in the system with the supervision of the Senior Analyst or Coordination, if necessary;
  • Archive documents in accordance with Quality training;
  • Use the necessary PPE to carry out tasks safely and in accordance with safety standards in laboratories;

Request corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment from the Senior Analyst and/or Coordination and, when necessary, carry out periodic maintenance on the equipment following the manufacturer's recommendations and the guidance of the Senior Analyst or Coordinator;

Segregate and dispose of waste.

Perform other related activities, as necessary, or at the discretion of your superior.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biology, Biomedicine or related field
  • Solid organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate English proficiency
  • Proven commitment, communication skills, discipline and efficiency in a professional environment

Desirable qualifications

  • Experience in classical physical chemistry analyses.
  • Solid knowledge and practical experience in classical inorganic physical chemistry analyzes are required, including techniques such as distillation, titration, colorimetric and gravimetric methods.

Benefits

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
  • Saturdays will alternate from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
