  1. Mission

As the lead technical manager for specific Japanese customers, he is responsible for leading the technical execution and overall governance of ADAS global projects and ensuring the achievement of QCD (quality, cost, delivery). (Projects for North America, India, and China are not eligible)

As the primary point of contact for the Bosch global team, he will lead stakeholder alignment, escalation response, and overall project steering.

Global project steering governance

Lead the overall steering of Japan Lead's project (in collaboration with global technical manager)

Plan and promote major meetings such as Steering Committee and Management Review.

Ensure transparency of KPIs (delivery date, cost, quality, milestones, risks)

End-to-end project management

Responsible for overall project execution including systems, software, and vehicle integration

Continuously monitor project progress, deliverables, and critical path

customer interface

Serve as the main technical point of contact for customer management and other customer stakeholders

Align customer expectations regarding requirements, milestones, and development scope

Facilitate regular progress reports, face-to-face consultations, and escalation coordination

Collaborate with global technical managers to support acquisition activities (order strategy activities)

Escalation and risk management

Identify, track and reduce project risks and critical issues

Lead the escalation process in coordination with the Technical Manager and Global Technical Manager.

Budget/resource management

Collaborate with technical manager and global technical manager to support budget formulation and management.

Drive access to the necessary resources and competencies

Local leadership and customer engagement

Lead on-site activities in Japan and support global on-site activities as necessary.

Conduct regular face-to-face alignment with customer stakeholders

Provide immediate leadership during critical or emergency situations.

Technology/Project Management

Deep understanding of ADAS/autonomous driving systems

Project management experience

Project steering and delivery management experience

Japanese ability (required)

High escalation ability and decision-making ability

Technical leadership experience with customer interaction

Customer service/intercultural communication

Deep understanding of Japanese OEM's expectations and business style

Communication skills and stakeholder management skills to work smoothly with both Japanese and global organizations.

Interpersonal skills to build long-term trusting relationships

Other information

Lead people globally (different cultural background, not directly visible), in different domains (R&D, plant, purchasing,…) with different expertise of different managerial levels (up to General Manager)
